Specialist OCD Clinic

At NOSA, we understand that Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can be debilitating, and finding the right treatment is crucial to regaining control and improving quality of life. For this reason, we operate a specialist OCD clinic for those who experience severe problems and/or have received treatment in the past but for whatever reason, their symptoms persist. These services differ from standard CBT therapy, being highly tailored and delivered by clinicians with experience of treatment resistant symptoms. The Specialist OCD Clinic offers comprehensive outpatient services designed to provide intensive Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including (Exposure and Response Prevention). This is often augmented with other complimentary therapies, including compassion focused therapy. Our OCD outpatient work can be delivered in the home, clinic or community, whichever environment yields the best results.

Tailored Treatment Plans for Severe OCD

We offer a highly flexible treatment program to meet the unique needs of our OCD outpatient clients. Each person’s needs will be assessed on an individual basis. Some of our patients may require two three hour extended sessions per week for example. Whatever your needs, we are here to support you in your recovery journey. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches to help you manage and reduce the impact of OCD, empowering you to take back control.

Expertise You Can Trust

Our team consists of experienced clinicians with a wealth of expertise in delivering OCD outpatient treatment. Many of our specialists have worked in NHS OCD services at a national level, and we bring this deep knowledge and skill to our clinic. Our focus is on delivering proven psychological therapies tailored to your specific needs, ensuring you receive the highest quality of care. All our clinicians consist of accredited Clinical Psychologists and CBT therapists, so you can be assured of our professional status.

Book and initial consultation

Referral Process

We accept referrals directly from individuals seeking support as well as from professional clinicians referring on behalf of their patients (GPs, psychiatrists, psychologists etc). Our treatments follow a three-step process:

1

Make contact

We receive the referral and conduct a brief telephone conversation to ensure initial suitability. If deemed suitable for our service, we will book you in for assessment.

2

Assessment

Our assessments usually last for around two hours. During your assessment, we will ask you questions designed to form a comprehensive understanding of your symptoms and goals for treatment.

3

Treatment recommendations

We will write an assessment letter to you outlining the problems identified and treatment recommendations.

4

Your decision

If you wish to pursue our recommendations, we will work with you to plan your treatment plan and agree a start date.

Specialist OCD clinic costs

Assessments cost £300.00. Treatment sessions are charged at £135.00 per an hour. We accept direct payments from our patients as well as insurance claims. We can also accommodate NHS work, if funding has been agreed prior to treatment.
